When Squiggles was 14 weeks old we attended Darlings Downunder’s 2013 Great Cloth Diaper Change event in an attempt to set the World Record for Most Cloth Nappies Changed in a 24 Hour Period at Multiple Events. 

Darlings Downunder ran an awesome event, it was lots of fun and as a bonus we were all given a fantastic goody bag! Inside our goody bag I found a Pikapu One Size AIO Cloth Nappy. It had a plain PUL outside and a beautiful soft microfleece lining, a REALLY soft lining.

It was a great workhorse nappy and grew really well with Squiggles into toddlerhood. It was a great workhorse nappy and grew really well with Squiggles into toddlerhood. 

In February this year Jelly Bean was born 8lb 10.5oz and 52cm long, she began wearing the Pikapu One Size AIO along with her other OSFM nappies as soon as we brought her home from hospital at 3 days old. (The photos included in this post were taken when she was 3 weeks old.

The nappy fit Jelly Bean well. No gaps, lots of room to grow and an easy, soft fit around the waist and legs.

The Velcro waist band is great for people who may not be used to Modern Cloth Nappies - it was my Dad’s preference when he was looking after Squiggles while I was studying.

Personally though, I prefer snaps. You may notice the outer fabric has been scratched a little; this is because I have the bad habit of just throwing the nappy in the machine and forgetting to fold the Velcro tabs onto the protective laundry tabs.

For an AIO the nappy dries really quickly! I don’t believe it is quite as absorbent as the Seedling Baby Pocket Nappy and I did need extra boosting when Squiggles was a toddler but it has more than enough absorbency for Jelly Bean.

All in all, the Pikapu is a great workhorse nappy that will fit from birth (it’s great at containing those breastfed poos!) to toilet training.
